Description: Cardanera is a red wine with a Controlled Designation of Origin - Carignano del Sulcis, made from Carignano grapes. It has a ruby red color and an intense aroma, with prominent notes of red fruits and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is round, savory, and well-balanced, with fine and velvety tannins. It pairs excellently with flavorful first courses, meat- and fish-based main dishes, and medium-aged cheeses, both sheep and goat. It also brings out its best with land-based appetizers, especially pork sausage, sheep ham, and green olives, either crushed or prepared “a scabecciu” (marinated).
